Our winter festive season of workshops is in full swing and this is a HOT ONE! These ornament hot glass classes fill up fast and our pre-registration hold your spot is now open. Registration fees will be due when the class if full and you will receive a pay link notification. Not only do you get to learn how to blow & inflate the glass by blowing into the pipe, we also have you choose your colours and do as much of the creating as you feel comfortable. Such as transferring the glass off the pipe and onto a punty rod to open up the hollow ball form. Gathering, colouring, how to marver, blow, punty and more are just a few of the extra things you will learn at our ornament party nights. Our friendly and skilled team of artists are here to help guide you through the process of making a one-of-a-kind glass art Friendship/Christmas ornament piece this holiday season. Each student will create 1 piece, as well as learn how to assist others in this fascinating process. We will cover teamwork and expand on tool use, as well as safety and the basic techniques needed to shape molten hot glass. Completed pieces require a minimum 24 hrs after creating to anneal before your piece will be ready to take home. The blown-glass ornament class is $200+gst per person and is an equivalent lesson to the Introduction to Glassblowing: the Hollow Form and can be used towards enrolment into our 6 week technical glassblowing programs. Minimum age requirement to register is 14 years. Minors must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian also taking this class. Things to know and how to prepare 1. Class/Workshop Participant Cancellation Policy We know "life happens" and sometimes changes to your class registration need to happen and as a valued customer we are able to offer the following. Please note that accommodating short notice changes is costly for us as supplies preparation, instructor & staffing fees and the loss of revenue from vacant workshop space(s) forfeit us the opportunity to fill short notice cancellations. For cancellations 1 week or greater we first look to re-book your class or workshop at time of cancellation. If a re-booking is not possible, an in-store credit studio account will be set-up for you and your registration purchase will be applied for future use towards an alternate future class/workshop registration or it can be used for shopping with us. For cancellations 72 hours or less, due to the costs of set up, supplies prep, staffing/instructor fees, and the inability for us to re-sell your workshop space(s) on short notice your cancellation will unfortunately have to be considered a forfeited opportunity. Please contact us either by email email@example.com or call the studio 780-739-1112 to advise us of any class or workshop registration changes you may have. Participants that No Show No shows are considered forfeited opportunities and the above policy does not apply.
